Warning...Senator Patrick may not be telling voters the whole truth about some of these proposed amendments. On Proposition #10 (I just got off the phone with the office of the Sec. of the State) and they concluded that Prop.#10 will permit elected and NON-ELECTED ESD Board Members to serve terms of 4 years instead of 2 year terms. That office stated that most ESDs have appointed members... and keep in mind these ESD Boards levy taxes. I do not want an unelected appointee to be levying taxes upon me for 4 long years... without being elected. Voters should vote 'NO' to Proposition #10 as appointees to these taxing ESD Boards should be limited to 2 year terms.
Secondly...Senator Patrick and most other politicians will not admit to the real truths and downfalls of Proposition #11. Prop.#11 will give the Tx. Legislature the legal statutory authority (with a 2/3rds vote of both houses. NOTE: most bills signed by the Governor pass by even larger margins)to grant non-governmental uti
